5 Coronation Street spoilers next week

Desperate Gemma Winter-Brown arrested for stealing kids’ shoes

Gemma’s day takes a turn for the worse when she receives a £70 parking notice in the mail and her little daughter Carys is in dire need of new shoes.

When Gemma takes Carys to the shoe store to get her feet measured, Gemma is devastated because the shoes cost £45 and are too pricey.

Gemma takes Carys’s hand as the employees are preoccupied, and they make off without paying! When Jane Hazlegrove’s Bernie Winter questions Gemma about how she paid for the shoes, would Gemma confess to stealing them?

The happy schoolmates of her son Joseph (William Flanagan) are treated to kebabs by her husband Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), but Gemma is taken aback when she discovers that one of the fathers has come to pick up his child.

Later, when Gemma has been caught for stealing the shoes, Kit is shocked to see her being hauled into the station.

Bernie pleads with Kit to have Gemma released, so Kit goes to the shoe store and asks Bruce, the owner, to remove Gemma’s charges. Kit is introduced to Ches and the children by Gemma, who is curious as to why he wants to assist her.

Kit receives an unexpected call from his father at their home, but what exactly is going on? Will Kit also tell Gemma who he is?

Joel Deering ordered into secret meeting

Joel’s parents Anthea (Carol Royle) and Gus (Chris Garner), together with Dee-Dee and dad Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges), get together for lunch. Anthea apologizes for her previous actions, which pleasantly surprises Dee-Dee.

Anthea and Gus, however, are shocked to learn that Joel and Dee-Dee are engaged from Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney).

Joel is obviously a weirdo, according to Sabrina Adetiba’s (Luana Santos) friend, so she should stay far away.

Later, while Dee-Dee gets ready for an engagement lunch, Joe receives a covert phone from Sabrina’s friend, warning him not to miss the opportunity to see her or he’ll regret it! Sabrina realizes she’s been naive. What do they want to gain, and will Joel finally come to light?

Stefan Brent goes back on his word in deep fake scandal

Kevin tells Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) that Stefan has consented to pay for the removal of Abi’s (Sally Carman-Duttine) deepfake recordings.

However, a short while later, Stefan informs Kev that the agreement is off since he refuses to pay £60,000 a year to have the films taken down. What will an enraged Kevin do?

As the week goes on, Abi tells Kev that she will be spending some time with her twins and their adoptive mother Lynsey because she wants to get away for a few days.

Kevin tries not to get too upset as Abi leaves. Is Stefan only getting started, or will their misery soon come to an end?

Glenda Shuttleworth’s olive branch as Michael Bailey romance sours

George recommends that Glenda and Michael put their differences aside and go out for a drink. Later on, though, Glenda keeps harping on about George’s predicament and insists that she still wants what is legally hers.

Glenda can tell that Michael doesn’t like her and that he’s becoming distant from her. Glenda suggests that she will withdraw the case if George gives her his house when she phones the undertakers. George, will you agree?

Steve McDonald set for birthday disappointment

Steve feels pressured by Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) to accept a night out to celebrate turning fifty.

Tim receives an invitation from Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) to the County Ground’s bronze bust unveiling of Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn).

Although Tim is devastated that it falls on Steve’s birthday, Steve believes a surprise party is in the works when Tim informs him he can’t go out anymore.

When Sally informs Tim that she’s heading to get a new clothing, Steve overhears and becomes even more certain that Tim is planning a party.

However, he is devastated to hear from Amy that his mother Tracy (Kate Ford) has canceled her trip and is instead staying in Spain. Later, after Steve’s attempts to win Tracy back have failed, he questions Tyrone, Kevin, and Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) regarding his surprise party.

They claim to be ignorant, and Steve grinned to himself since he thought they were bluffing! When Steve realizes there isn’t a party, how will he respond?
