The Summer Bay favourite has swapped surfboards for sequins on the new season of the much-loved show.
Can Emily Weir of Home and Away, who plays the beloved Mackenzie in Summer Bay, win over the judges and the public in a riveting new Dancing With the Stars season?
Emily declared herself to be a superfan of the popular show on Channel 7 and said she couldn’t wait to hit the dance floor.
What about criticism from judges Todd McKenney, Mark Wilson, Sharna Burgess, and Craig Revel Horwood? How will she handle it?
In a sneak peek from the upcoming season, the typically bikini-clad actress is seen taking off her go-incognito trench coat after providing the secret password “Summer Bay” to enter the Dancing rehearsal space.
Underneath the coat is a glittering dance dress, with Emily exclaiming: “I feel like DANCING!”
So, the big question is – can she dance?
By the looks of the sneak peek, she certainly tries, and looks to have a lot of fun in the process.
Emily joins 13 brand-new celebrities taking to the dancefloor this year for a shot at the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.
