According to General Hospital spoilers and news, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) will discuss her sadness about Molly Lansing-Davis’ (Mia Kriegel) unfortunate circumstances. Surrogacy will eventually be discussed as a choice for Molly and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), but what if Molly is unable to produce eggs? Could they utilize Kristina’s?
General Hospital Spoilers: Molly Lansing-Davis’ Endometriosis Is Severe
As unpredictable as Molly’s cycle has been, egg harvesting is not guaranteed because Molly has significant endometriosis that is at an advanced stage. Molly would typically receive them through her ovaries along with hormone-stimulating therapy, but this may not be the best course of action given her endometriosis. They would therefore require both an egg donor and a surrogate if Molly were not a candidate to contribute her own eggs, making surrogacy conceivable.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) may have reached the age where it is no longer wise to use a surrogate or donate eggs, therefore Kristina may volunteer to provide both services. The sisters will talk about this, possibly bringing up Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) at some time.
GH Spoilers: A Complicated Process
Kristina may find this to be a challenging process because she will also need to undergo testing to see whether or not she has eggs that would be viable. To ensure that she will be able to carry the baby, she will also need to undergo testing. Sam’s partner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who dealt with similar issues with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan), can be a helpful buddy to TJ and Molly. Despite the fact that their surrogacy experience grew extremely complicated for several reasons, the procedure remained the same, and once their embryos were located, Lulu eventually gave birth to a boy and a daughter.
General Hospital Spoilers: Decisions Will Need To Be Made And Legal Documents Drawn Up
Simply because of the complications that come with surrogacy—and this is especially true when the surrogate is a close relative—decisions will need to be made and legal paperwork will need to be created. Given that the girls’ fathers are half brothers, genetic testing will be required to rule out any genetic abnormalities on the girls’ maternal side. Local resident Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) poses no issues, but Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) remains a mystery.
Additionally, surrogates can unintentionally develop feelings of attachment to the fetuses they are carrying and decide not to give them up after birth. With two sisters, though, it’s less likely to happen because Kristina will still technically be the child’s aunt.
