Lyrik threatens to implode over the band’s new member.

Mercedes DaSilva, who recently joined Home and Away, will cause further trouble the following week when things get heated between her and Eden Fowler.

After her best friend and bandmate Remi Carter exposes the group to their new secret weapon, violinist Mercedes—a person from Remi’s past who Eden feels has “zero moral compass”—Eden will be furious in scenes airing in the UK later this week.

As next week approaches, there are no signs of a thawing in the relationship between Eden and Mercedes because Remi is adamant that Mercedes will be essential to Lyrik’s success in the next “Battle of the Bands” competition.

Eden, meanwhile, sees Mercedes only as a serpent. Unfortunately for Eden, Remi is easily won over by Mercedes’ shared musical interests and their shared past. Mercedes even enrages Eden by claiming to be Remi’s first best friend.

Following the sad breakup of band members Theo Poulos and Kirby Aramoana, the members of Lyrik attempt to put their differences aside as new rehearsals begin.

Since Mercedes has joined the group, a new string section has been added, and Lyrik’s most recent practise sounds fantastic. Unfortunately, Lyrik’s brief period of musical concord is short-lived, and the band members’ mounting tensions soon break out into disputes, leading Eden to quickly eject Mercedes.

Mercedes is being pursued by Remi, who begs her to give the erratic band another chance. To persuade Mercedes to stay, he arranges for her to stay with Felicity Newman, and the two quickly become close friends.

However, when Felicity gets home and introduces Eden to Mercedes, her new temporary housemate, Eden’s horror begins. When Eden sees Mercedes, she is furious and says that she would rather drink poison than have a drink with her.

Eden isn’t the only person in Summer Bay who has concerns about Mercedes; Remi’s girlfriend Bree Cameron questions him about how close they were in the past and wonders if there is something she should be aware of. Bree, however, has nothing to be concerned about, according to Remi.

Remi is still of the opinion that Lyrik will win the ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition if they can only pick up their instruments and put their differences aside, despite the recurring band disputes and tensions.

However, are the other Lyrik members really able to handle working with “Hell on wheels” Mercedes?
