Tuesday night, Lily Slater of EastEnders gave birth to her daughter Charli Branning-Slater with the assistance of Stacey Slater, who was by her side the entire time.
Just days after giving birth, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) of EastEnders may push her daughter Lily Slater (Lilla Turner) away as she challenges her parenting style.
Stacey learned during Monday night’s episode that Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) was the one who had been following her for the last few months.
Theo became enraged after Stacey labeled him a “geeky little Geography teacher” and displayed a different side of himself as a result.
Theo stopped Stacey from leaving the room when she tried to do so after hearing Lily Slater (Lillia Turner), who had just gone into labor, scream in agony. Stacey was horrified by the news.
In the subsequent scenes, everyone at Number 31 is fatigued after a restless night due to baby Charli, Lily’s child.
After having her own children, Stacey decides to take responsibility, but Lily persuades both her and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) to go to work so that she may take care of her own daughter.
Stacey is initially hesitant to leave but eventually decides. But as soon as Lily and Ricky Mitchell (Frankie Day) leave the house, calamity hits.
Soon after, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is horrified to see them playing with baby Charli, who is just a few days old.
He approaches Stacey in a furious manner and starts hurling allegations at her, making her embarrassed and causing her to drag Lily home.
Stacey, who is still processing what happened, continues to criticize Lily’s parenting and how she is treating Charli, but Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) intervenes and corrects Stacey.
Jean informs Stacey that Theo has left as she explains her reasons for being so protective.
Jean continues, saying that Lily is Charli’s mother and that she is the one who needs to safeguard her daughter and avoid making the same errors Stacey did when she was a first-time mother.
Stacey goes outside to cool down and finds something horrible there.
Can Stacey and Lily come up with a rational plan for their shared living situation and raise Charli together?
Has Theo already come back for Stacey to show her that he won’t go in without a fight?
Could Theo’s return, as he turns his attention to Lily and Charli, have something more sinister in mind?
