Spoilers for General Hospital indicate Knowing that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had provided him with some protection from harm while he was imprisoned inside gave Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) a little amount of relief.

He wasn’t prepared for it to be abruptly taken away, but he won’t be too concerned because usually he feels like he can manage whatever comes his way.

Naturally, he is more concerned about physical dangers than anything else. But Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who enjoys playing with Drew’s psyche, is more likely to have Drew submit to his will if he finds more ways to do so.

Could Drew find himself going against his better judgment in order to protect himself, thereby upsetting Sonny in the process?

Spoilers for General Hospital: Does Sonny Corinthos’s Influence End?

Nobody anticipated seeing Sonny hauled in handcuffs out of the Metro Court restaurant and away from the table he and his daughter were enjoying. The don didn’t have a problem because he has gone through this a number of dozen times before.

He didn’t overreact; he is far too aware of his rights to have done so. By the time he arrived at the PCPD police station, he was aware that Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) would already be working the case.

But he didn’t anticipate that the police would have the details they do about him. For his illustrious attorney, this time will undoubtedly be a different type of battle—and one she might lose.

Regardless, Drew might start to worry that it’s real now that Sonny is in jail and Cyrus is spreading rumors that he’ll never be released and that his rule over Port Charles is finally coming to an end.

GH Spoilers: Cyrus Renault Reigns Once More

Cyrus might not be going to Port Chuck’s streets, but he doesn’t need to leave Pentonville to find his people.

He has the benefit of having spent enough time inside to gain support for his ideas.

The jury is still out on whether Cyrus has actually turned his life around and has gone so far as to think he is serving God, or whether the entire spectacle was a ploy to divert attention from what he really had in mind: killing Sonny.

However, given the amount of convicted criminals he has on his side and who are willing to travel wherever he directs them, it might not matter.

Spoilers for General Hospital: Drew Cain Must Form An Alliance

Drew is a clever cookie, so if he knows what’s best for him, he won’t challenge the man who is currently the hardest in the jail.

As soon as Drew was fingerprinted and booked, Cyrus began to circle around him, showing that he understood what he was doing.

He understood that if Drew was to survive this prison term undamaged, he would ultimately need to rely on him for protection.

However, given that he is a really devoted individual, we wouldn’t rule out the possibility that he would remain by Sonny’s side, even if Sonny is the only person left.

However, it could be smarter for him to assume the persona of a reformed man—much like Cyrus did—and follow the impulsively religious criminal faithfully, like his twin brother Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), did for so many years, by sticking by Sonny’s side.

Drew may stand to gather a lot more information if he can persuade Cyrus to join with him and against Sonny than he ever would if Cyrus were on his side.
