Even the GENERAL HOSPITAL fans who were aware that Nikolas would return eventually were taken aback when he appeared in the cliffhanger twist at the end of the August 31 episode. In addition, the actor who played the part again, Adam Huss, thanked the fans on social media for their warm welcome. “Wanted to send some love and massive gratitude for all the beautiful support and comments from you wonderful GH fans,” he said. “I don’t always have time to respond to every message or comment, but I value every kind one greatly.

Huss continued, “I am very passionate about playing Nikolas Cassadine, and I will continue to honor the past for however long I get the chance to do so.” Tyler Christopher created the role of Nikolas in 1996, and over the years, other actors such as Coltin Scott, Chris Beetem, and Nick Stabile have also portrayed the Cassadine prince. Huss made his GH debut when he substituted for Marcus Coloma for an episode in September 2021. He then did so once more when Coloma was away with COVID in November 2022.

The Nikolas storyline was last seen in March when Ava hit him over the head with a vase and, believing that she had killed him, tried to hide his body with Austin’s assistance. After Coloma left the soap, Huss took over once more in January 2023 to finish it. Fans naturally started counting down the days until Nikolas’s return as soon as it was made clear that he was recovering in a covert location.

Although Huss remained mum regarding the length of his tenure as Nikolas this time around, many viewers are wishing for a comfortable, protracted run. He must, after all, exact revenge on Ava, meet Ace, his son, and make another effort to patch things up with Spencer. And that’s just the beginning! Keep reading
