Spoilers and rumors regarding General Hospital tease Will Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) confess in court that he faked Pikeman intelligence? It might be his sole line of defense against the federal charges he is up against.
General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos Was Faking A Shipment
In order to catch the boss of Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth), Sonny was actually fabricating a shipment.
Sonny must be careful not to give away the reason, other than to say that it has to do with a missing persons investigation being handled by the Port Charles Police Department.
He says he has reason to believe that person knows something, but he doesn’t want to stir up trouble for Ava Jerome (Maura West), who has been threatened with trouble for killing Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).
He mentions Nikolas and how his ex-wife Ava had been the target of extortion because Nikolas had vanished from the Spoon Island stables. The blackmailer, who he doesn’t explicitly identify, wanted her to discover information about Pikeman in order to stop the blackmail, so he hid a flash drive with false evidence for her to discover.
GH Spoilers: Prove It
The FBI’s lawyer wants Sonny to demonstrate this, but they haven’t even provided any evidence beyond pictures of crates at the dock with the label “Pikeman.”
Given that there is no evidence in the discovery motions that the confiscated crates have even been opened, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) wonders what was inside them.
Because that is one of his unsolved cases, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) perk up when he hears the part about Nikolas vanishing from the stable.
He wishes he could discuss Ava’s blackmail with Sonny, but he is unable to do so. Instead, he must follow up with Ava in a non-accusatory manner.
Diane demands that the Feds provide evidence before revealing what they have in order to learn what was discovered in the crates identified as belonging to “Pikeman”.
General Hospital Spoilers: A Whole Lot Of Nothing?
The FBI case against Sonny and his men is so shoddy that Diane and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), who has also been permitted entry to the federal courtroom, are in disbelief. He was interrogated by FBI agents for three days without sleep in an effort to force him to confess without the benefit of a lawyer. Is the only evidence they have just pictures of unopened crates? If so, they must show what other evidence they have against her client; Sonny goes on to describe his sting operation. Sonny has a strong suspicion that the fake intelligence was given to the Feds by Mason and Austin’s boss, who is now thought to be a person in Pentonville Prison.
