According to General Hospital (GH) teasers, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has spent the most of her time trying to disregard the opinions of people while dating Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
But since everyone feels entitled to inform Nina about what she has gotten herself into by deciding to wed a well-known mobster, that will become more and more challenging.
Everything was fine when Nina could easily lie to herself about how Sonny spent his time while he was “working,” but the thought that he might never return home and that she might be in danger as a result is enough to fray Nina’s delicate nerves. If too many people try to tell her how things will be, Nina just might snap.
Spoilers for General Hospital: Alexis Davis and Olivia Quartermaine acted well-intentioned
When Alexis told Nina the frank, unvarnished truth about Sonny’s way of life and business dealings, she didn’t mince words.
She obviously didn’t want to add to Nina’s anxiety about what might be in store, but just telling the truth about what she had seen firsthand over the years was enough to send Sonny’s fiancee searching for a rescuer.
Alexis’s arguments appeared to be supported by Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), and at that point Nina found it much more challenging—though still not impossible—to continue deceiving herself about her intended spouse.
Lord Knows Ava Jerome Has Tried, GH Spoilers
Since Nina fell in love with Sonny even back when he was only “Mike” from Nixon Falls, Ava has been a steadfast ally of Nina’s.
Ava was supporting Nina from the sidelines when she moved in on Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) boyfriend since their friendship grew out of a shared disdain for Carly.
Ava has made it quite apparent that she believes her closest friend Carly went too far and should be honest with Sonny while she still has the chance ever after Nina reported Carly to the SEC.

Sonny is a mother to many kids and has a lot of them! She was hoping Sonny’s involvement with Pikeman wouldn’t lead to anything, but as soon as she found out what he was planning, she realized Sonny was in over his head.
Nina may not have understood what she was asking for when she asked Carly for assistance because she is the only woman who is actually capable of handling the demands of Sonny’s lifestyle.
When Carly jumps into action to run the business and protect the family, will she be able to keep up?
