Alfie Moon from EastEnders is covertly battling prostate cancer, despite saying he got the all-clear following recent tests. His secret might destroy Kat and Phil’s wedding day.
After Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) spoiled their first attempt, EastEnders Kat Moon (played by Jessie Wallace) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) will be hoping it’s second time lucky as they get ready to walk down the aisle next week.
To Phil’s dismay, he abducted Kat in September and then tried to woo her round so they could get back together. This prevented the wedding from happening.
However, it appears that he may potentially throw a wrench in their second effort as BBC spoilers reveal that he is holding two important truths that could put an end to things.
In the episodes that will run the following week, Phil is already having a hard time holding back his guilt about his liaison with Emma (Patsy Kensit), while Kat eagerly plans the wedding.
Louise refuses to allow the mechanic access to Peggy, and when Keanu (Danny Walters) threatens to blackmail him, Phil lies to him and claims that he has already told Kat everything.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there because Keanu subsequently tells Alfie everything while intoxicated.
Alfie has already been keeping quiet about the fact that he told Kat he didn’t have prostate cancer and has instead just informed her that he can’t attend the wedding.
Alfie wants to talk to Keanu to obtain the facts so he doesn’t misunderstand since he is shocked that Phil would betray her the next day.
He hits Phil after realizing that he had actually cheated, and the two men start to fight.
Alfie ultimately emotionally confesses that he lied about having the all-clear and does in fact have prostate cancer, showing that Phil’s affairs aren’t the only thing on his mind at this point.
Alfie explains that he will undergo a prostatectomy, and Phil, who has been with him throughout all of his exams, is surprised to learn the reality.
In the meantime, Kat, who this time around decided against wearing white, waits in the registrar office while dressed in a vibrant bridal gown.
When Phil finally arrives to his wedding, Kat is distraught and baffled as to why he’s not with Alfie.
Will Kat and Phil go through with the wedding as her ex-husband gets ready for surgery or will Alfie once more force them to cancel their festivities?
