Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is waiting in a holding cell for the powers that be to set him up for a future he never thought he’d have to endure, according to General Hospital (GH) spoilers. Others aren’t as shocked as Sonny is, and he doesn’t understand how anyone could have prepared him to take this fall so gracefully. Over the years, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has seen Sonny get into trouble and weasel his way out of it. When she mentioned that he has a way of avoiding persecution, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) felt a small amount of hope. Nevertheless, she wasn’t about to endorse his actions, and it appeared that every statement she made had been approved by Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa).
Nina might find herself reaching for an unlikely ally as Ava Jerome (Maura West) drives home their points even more. Will Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) be the most effective at reducing Nina’s anxiety?
General Hospital Spoilers — The Know-It-Alls
As Olivia explained the gravity of the situation to newcomer Nina, she was considerate enough to refrain from adding to Alexis’ already negative opinions of Sonny’s business activities. Over the years, they’ve gone through this with him more than once or twice. Alexis, a former lawyer with a strong respect for the letter of the law, made it clear how objectionable she finds his lifestyle choices, though they continue to hold out hope that he won’t be held accountable for his own bad behavior. Although no one bothered to point it out to her on her own, it appears that the message was clearly understood by a forgiving Nina who was eager to learn as much as she could from the women who had already experienced the rollercoaster she had just ascended.
General Hospital Updates – Ava Jerome Used to Be Supportive
When Nina confronted Ava about her dislike of her relationship with Sonny, Ava was quick to respond by pointing out that she used to support it. It is real.
Ava was present for it even when Nina was merely falling for a man named Mike in Nixon Falls. She supported her for stabbing Carly in the back when it was revealed that Mike was actually Sonny. Ava hasn’t been able to ignore the target Nina’s involvement with the SEC has placed in her back, though. She now worries that Nina may not be aware of what she’s getting herself into as she observes Nina panic over what has become a regular occurrence in Sonny’s life—him being arrested. Although they may have parted ways amicably, Ava will become increasingly convinced that Nina isn’t cut out for this life the more they talk about it.
Carly Corinthos Holds All the Power
When Carly scoffed in Nina’s face and pretended to be blissfully unaware of just how new everything is for Sonny’s most recent fiancé, she might have been trying to be coy. With Alexis and Olivia content to avoid Sonny’s legal problems and Ava preoccupied with her own drama while constantly casting doubt on their relationship, Nina may discover that Carly, her arch enemy, is actually her best chance of surviving what lies ahead. Nina will need to control her emotions and maintain her composure if Sonny’s company is to have any chance of making it through this trial. Normally, Sonny can pull a spiraling Nina back to solid ground. Can Carly do it without pulling Sonny?
