Olivia had hoped that by reliving the incidents of the tragic day he fell and hit his head, he would be able to recall something, anything, about who he really was and what had transpired. Indulging her, Eddie made it clear that he had no recollection of the pool, what he was doing, his fall, or anyone who had seen it.
The fact that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) struck him in a way he wasn’t expecting and left him wondering why was something he left out of his description.Could it be that Eddie had a fleeting memory that he couldn’t explain and hasn’t told Olivia for fear of giving her false hope?
General Hospital Spoilers: Olivia Keeps Pushing
Eddie’s assertion that he is not Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) has been well received by Olivia. She is convinced. She recognizes that this man is not her husband as she looks into his eyes and hears him speak. She still believes that things will turn out okay and that Ned will eventually return to her. Eddie traveling back to the scene of the crime was a wise decision. She was unable to foresee that Eddie would find Nina’s interference with them to be the most exciting part of the entire situation.

Eddie is familiar with Nina. When he first left the hospital, she was kind to him and made the decision to accept Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) invitation to stay at his penthouse. Eddie was once more blessed by Sonny’s connections in the music business, which gave him an advantage in reviving his career and gave him a reason to remain in Port Charles. However, when Nina interrupted the awkwardly wed couple and said she thought this experiment might not be a good idea, Olivia was occupied correcting Nina while Eddie observed her in a way we hadn’t seen him do before. He already knows Nina, to reiterate. She was kind to him when he could not trust anyone else, and he liked her.Therefore, he might be unsure of why he suddenly felt that she couldn’t be trusted at that precise moment.
General Hospital Spoilers — Will More Memories Resurface?
Fans are baffled by Eddie and Olivia’s developing friendship as Nina waits in the shadows. Up until he deserted the ship and moved into the Quartermaine mansion, she appeared to be the only person who was primarily on Eddie’s side. Nina had been his presumed ally, but ever since he first saw her at the Metro Court, his instincts have been pointing in a different direction.
He froze for a split second as if a fresh idea had just occurred to him as he was recording his brand-new song this week and singing about the siren lost in the back of his mind.
Many fans assumed he might be contemplating a former flame, or even Olivia, but could he still be thinking about his heated exchange with Nina before the incident at the pool?
