Danielle Harold, who played Lola Pearce on EastEnders, departed the BBC soap in May. Since then, she has battled rumors about her future in show business.

Danielle Harold from EastEnders visited the Loose Women panel today and spoke about the prospect of competing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle.

“Everyone keeps asking, but I am so excited for what’s next because I have been there [EastEnders] for half of my life now,” Danielle said.

“I am just loving it and it is so much fun, it is really great fun,” the actor said of being able to audition now, which he had begun to do.

There are rumors swirling about who will enter the jungle at this time of year, and Ruth Langsford was curious to find out for herself.

Danielle said, laughing, “It seems like there is always something going on; one minute I’m in Strictly, and the next I’m in that.

Next week, I’ll probably appear on Dancing on Ice. Settle down! Whatever the most recent episode is, there is always something, and they always mention your name.

Ruth said, seeking clarification, “So your not going in the jungle,” to which Danielle replied, “No.”

Coleen Nolan, however, intervened and remarked, “She wouldn’t be allowed to say, who do you think you are?”

“There are just rumors about me going somewhere, and I love it,” Danielle said. At home, I sit and exclaim, “Ooh there and there!”

The biggest storyline that Danielle was involved in throughout her 12-year tenure as Lola Pearce was her departure after being identified as having a brain tumor and passing away from it.

Together, Brain Tumour Research and Macmillan Cancer Support came up with the idea for the narrative, which dramatizes the real-life struggles experienced by cancer patients.

The soap opera is still paying tribute to Lola, and earlier this week it aired an appearance from Danielle in some intense moments starring Lola’s on-screen daughter Lexi.

She addressed the audience after receiving the National Television Award for Best Serial Drama Performance by saying, “Guys, I love you very much. I could not achieve this without your help. I greatly appreciate it.
