Fans of Coronation Street believe they have discovered a future wedding between two enduring characters.

Fans of Coronation Street believe that Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) may soon tie the knot.

Although they have been friends for a long time, they have recently become closer and now share a home.

The most recent ITV soap opera episode saw Evelyn temporarily residing at Roy’s apartment, and the two arguing, although it’s obvious there is a spark between them.

Many people made predictions about the couple’s impending official relationship and potential marriage on social media.

The following tweet was posted by @pam_debeauvoir: “Roy & Evelyn will be announcing their intention to marry by Christmas #Corrie.” (sic)

In addition, @DivineMichaela stated: “Evelyn and Roy need to happen soon #Corrie.”

According to @RyanTheSoapking, Evelyn and Roy were fighting like an old married couple on “Corrie.”

In a tweet, @kaytweets_x wrote, “I ship Roy and Evelyn way more than I should #Corrie.”

“Evelyn and Roy are just right for each other, lol #Corrie,” said @floweroflondon. (sic)

The best couple is Roy and Evelyn, as stated by @mi_chelle4278. I adore them both. #Corrie.”

In one scene, Roy acknowledged to Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), Evelyn’s grandson, that he was grating on her.

He said, “We’re going through an adjustment period, and some of my routines are a little unkind.”

Tyronew cautioned him, “She’s putting you out; don’t go bending over backwards for her.”

Before Tyrone intervened, Evelyn ordered Roy to take care of her shopping list.

He continued, “Do me a favor, go easy on him. He is not your personal butler.”

She reacted violently, but something Tyrone said must have hit home since she later offered to prepare Roy’s dinner.
