A social worker named Harper is on a long vacation and comes to Summer Bay in search of lodging. Before long, she notices the ad offering Irene’s room for hire. Although John is skeptical and has a gut feeling that Harper is not entirely trustworthy, Harper and Irene become fast friends.
John is caught peeking, and Irene tells him that caring and intervening are two very different things. It seems like a perfect fit when Irene gives Harper the go-ahead and the house keys.
Harper gives off a sinister vibe the moment he walks behind closed doors. Fortunately, she is being watched over by a very vigilant neighborhood watch.
While everything is going on, Alf tells Justin that even though he now has too many options for hearing aides, he’s happy he finally faced his hearing problem head-on. In addition, he worries that he won’t receive his results in time to see Roo. Fortunately, Bree works some magic and, if he can get to the hospital quickly, gets his next appointment expedited.
In another scene, Kirby’s departure from the band demoralizes Justin, but Leah reminds him that Lyrik need not come to an end. If anything, they require direction and leadership from their manager. When Justin meets with Eden and Remi, he’s prepared to continue the conversation.
But Eden sees no use for it. When she’s finished talking, she strikes out, throwing Kirby’s garments into the street as her first act of aggression. After a considerable amount of effort, Eden and Remi finally discuss a course of action. They’ll cover the interviews and rearrange the music. All they need to do is avoid bringing up Kirby’s departure from the band.
