The Summer Bay soap opera star, who frequently finds herself in peril, could not have realized that when she shared the tip she got from a friend, she was endangering her life.
“Noooooo, ours broke from doing this. The water moisture damaged the elements in mine. Almost set fire,” one person commented.
“It’s actually dangerous to do this and there have been warnings about it before,” another said.
“I can’t seriously believe people are stupid enough to think doing this is safe,” another person said.
“I put mine in the dishwasher,” one person pointed out.
The best way to clean an air fryer
Consumer reports recommend that air fryers should be cleaned after every use, and air fryers claim to have dishwasher-safe components. While each air fryer will offer specific cleaning tips, Larry Ciufo, who tests air fryers suggested the following:
- Clean the removable components with warm, soapy water
- Use a wooden skewer or toothpick to poke out food that may be stuck in the basket or grate.
- Clean the inside of the air fryer using a damp cloth dipped in warm soapy water.
- Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth, then dry the appliance.
Yes, every single time. You’ll thank yourself later.
