Soon in EastEnders, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) strikes George Knight (Colin Salmon) where it hurts.
When Cindy was living as Rose Knight while posing as someone else, the two personas were dating. We learned that Cindy left the Knight family shortly after Lucy Beale’s murder and couldn’t come back for safety reasons upon Cindy’s return to Walford.
Given that George is now seeing Elaine (Harriet Thorpe), reunion hopes are firmly dashed, but clever and shrewd Cindy is well aware that her ex-husband still harbors affections for her.
The Knights are thrilled when George says later that he has a buyer for the Marbella bar.
Cindy tries to get the investment money from Phil (Steve McFadden) after her argument with the Panesars, and she almost succeeds. The only reason the scheme doesn’t work is because Ian (Adam Woodyatt) won’t accept money from Phil.
Later, as Peter (Thomas Law) expresses his sorrow over being fired by Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry), Cindy becomes sidetracked. She goes to the bar to approach them, but instead has a meaningful conversation with Gina.
Anna notices the conversation and informs Cindy that George has a buyer for the bar.
George and Elaine are then interrupted by Cindy, who declares that she has come to make her claim because she owns half of the bar.
George extends an invitation to her and Ian to dinner so they may discuss the matter in private.
As the evening begins, tensions are high, and when Cindy has George to herself, she unleashes her manipulative side. But will she succeed?
