Spoilers and rumors regarding General Hospital Scarlett Fernandez teases that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) might be inspired to complete Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) unfinished business by the tarot cards she is using. Jake Spencer (Hudson West), who is playing cards with them, might be prompted to assist her in completing Victor’s unfinished business as well.
General Hospital Spoilers: Tarot Cards Used To Control
If tarot cards are being used to control Charlotte and perhaps Jake as well, it won’t be the first time this has happened. Victor was constantly attempting to coax Peter August (Wes Ramsey) into helping him manage Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Drew was finally saved when he and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) devised a plan to fool Peter into thinking Drew was under control when he wasn’t; unfortunately, Jason paid the price with his life.
Jason had a tarot card when the tunnel under Cassadine Island collapsed, so these cards may be from the same deck that Peter had used to control Drew. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) received a set of tarot cards from Victor, most likely the same deck that Jason used before he passed away—Charlotte could have easily located them.
GH Spoilers: Were All The Cards Used To Control?
Victor, Peter, and Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) were all present when young Jake was abducted on Cassadine Island. Jake was horrified to witness what he believed to be his father Jason being tortured while being hung on a pole; he later discovered it was actually Uncle Drew. Tarot cards could have been used even back then as a fallback, but with Drew, they also implanted a control chip in the brain, and there were also problems with memory transfer. Although he appears to be regaining more of his own memories, Drew still retains some of Jason’s memories in his brain along with some of his own. Even at that young age, Jake might have been programmed to react to specific tarot cards, and Charlotte perhaps later when Victor had her last
General Hospital Spoilers: Hypnotic Suggestions Implanted?
Although it’s likely that hypnotic suggestions were ingrained in both teenagers, Victor would have preferred to use Charlotte.
This is due to the fact that, in contrast to Jake, she is descended from the Cassadine family. Could this be the reason why he left her father Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) with a statue’s middle finger?
It’s simple to understand what he might have been considering—if Valentin wouldn’t follow him, then Charlotte would!
But what if Charlotte plays cards like a game and both Charlotte and the cards awaken the hypnotic suggestions Victor and others implanted in them? Jake might have reacted to a Hangman-type tarot card that set off his triggers; are they both unwittingly carrying out Victor’s wishes?
