On the red carpet at the Inside Soap Awards, Ryan Prescott, who portrays Ryan Connor in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street, discussed the possibilities of a spin-off for the Connor family.

As well-known as the Barlows and the McDonalds are now the cobblestones as the Connor family.

And while Ryan Prescott, who plays Ryan Connor on Coronation Street, was present on the red carpet at tonight’s Inside Soap Awards, our correspondent was able to speak with him briefly.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Ryan hinted at the prospect of a Connor family spin-off.

“You know what, I’ve been rooting for it,” he remarked. I’ve been discussing a spin-off for a while now.

It’s not the first time a soap opera’s characters have traveled to Ireland in a spin-off. In order to find Kat’s long-lost son, EastEnders dispatched Alfie and Kat to the tranquil Irish village of Redwater.

Ryan continued by saying, “It would be incredible if they would take the Connors to Ireland. I wish I could pitch that. I would, truly.

Since Sol Heras left the role in 2018, Ryan, 34, has assumed the character of Ryan Connor.

He was a part of a significant narrative earlier this year in which his character was attacked with acid.

Ryan also commented on the acid attack plotline and the reactions of the audience.

Yes, people do follow the plot, he acknowledged, but the response has been enormous. To be honest, that kind of overwhelmed me. People who have experienced acid attacks themselves or who have had permanent facial scars have contacted me from abroad and online, and many of them have remarked they’ve never seen something so accurately represented on a soap opera.

So stuff like that and having a direct type of, I don’t know, interaction with such a vast audience who have immediate responses and respond to the tale as it moves ahead is the most, is the biggest payoff you can have in this position, the speaker continued.

He also took some time to discuss his coworkers Chris Gascoyne and Alison King, who portray Carla and Peter Barlow on the program.

They were “two of the most amazing people I’ve ever worked with,” he said, calling them “amazing.” They are the type of individuals who, simply by being around on set, allow you to pick up knowledge through osmosis, as everything they do influences your work.

“And such amazing individuals in general, such talented performers. They are both people I get along with fairly well. Every day I strive to stay up with them both and learn from them. It’s definitely one of the finest parts of the work right now.
