Congratulations to daytime alum Kristen Alderson and her fiancé Taylor Crousore on the impending birth of their first child! Kristen Alderson is best known for her roles as Starr on One Life to Live and Kiki on General Hospital. During a live Twitch stream fundraiser, the actress made her pregnancy known. She later uploaded a video to Instagram.

“Surprise!” Alderson announced with joy. Taylor and I began trying to conceive in April of this year, anticipating that it might take us a while longer than it does for most people to do so. We discovered that I am pregnant on May 22—only the second month after we started trying!

“What I didn’t know when we found out,” she continued, “was that Taylor had already scheduled our proposal for July 15! He had purchased the ring in April, and they had even paid for his mother’s international flight! The proposal actually came just in time for our gender reveal, a video of which I’ll post later. To say that we are thrilled, incredibly appreciative, and ecstatic would be an understatement! The past year has been the most thrilling of our lives. We can’t wait to start telling you all what you missed this summer! Pregnant!”

Alderson says in the video, “So yesterday I took a test and it was a faint line that I was positive… for pregnancy.” “And they said that the test could be flawed because it was a faint line, so I didn’t really believe it 100%. So tonight I had another test. I recently returned from work. Late at night. I recently had hysterical crying fits, so I now look awful. I could find out right now because I’m currently filming my first movie. It may be prepared now. Either yes or no will be given. Additionally, she is pregnant.

The happy parents share video footage of them sharing the exciting news with their family and friends, including Nic Roebuck (James, OLTL), Brittany Underwood (Langston, OLTL), Robert Adamson (ex-Fen, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS), and Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillon, GH). Music then begins to play as they hold up the positive pregnancy test to the camera.

You might want to have some tissues on hand if you plan to watch the video above to see all the ecstatic reactions! And once more, congrats to the soon-to-be parents!
