General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Port Charles is about to experience some breathtaking revelations. Fans were recently as shocked to learn Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) was responsible for the burglary of Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) hotel room as Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) were.
General Hospital Spoilers – Charlotte Cassadine’s Behavioural Issues
Charlotte has had some behavioral issues for a while, but this seems very troubling. Particularly considering the note she wrote on Anna’s bathroom mirror.
Charlotte has struggled greatly lately. Her evil grandad Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) held her hostage at her boarding school, she had to pretend her father was dead while he “hid” from Victor, and she hasn’t spent much time with her beloved “Papa” in recent months now that her grandad has officially passed away. Her mother Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) has been in a coma since late 2020.
She obviously wants to be with her despite the fact that she loves Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who has welcomed her into his home so she can spend time with her brother.
GH Spoilers – Charlotte Cassadine’s Trauma
Charlotte has experienced a lot of trauma throughout her life, not just recently. She spent months as a young child not knowing whether Griffin Munroe (Matt Cohen) or Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was her biological father before realizing that Lulu was, in fact, her “real” mother and Valentin was her father, making the only mother she has ever known, Claudette Beaulieu, just a surrogate. On top of everything else, Claudette vanished unexpectedly and was later found dead.
When she was younger, Valentin (and Lulu, before her coma, were constantly at odds over custody, and the only woman her father dated with whom she truly connected was Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), with whom they broke up.
Charlotte’s bad behavior set Valentin on the path to redemption, but he hasn’t given Charlotte his full attention because he’s been too preoccupied with Anna, Pikeman, bringing his father to justice (at one point), and helping friends around him (such as during his Greenland adventure and trip to Russia to aid Laura Collins (Genie Francis) in her struggle to locate her son).
Has Valentin missed the emergence of Charlotte’s multiple personality disorder? Every time she says Anna’s name, fans can see the slight contempt she has for her. However, there are two very significant differences between getting angry and lashing out as opposed to ransacking her hotel room and issuing ominous warnings.
Then, there’s the lingering doubt that Charlotte was responsible for the fire that destroyed Anna’s home. Even so, Charlotte has remained courteous, kind, and generally laid-back toward the adults in her immediate vicinity, including her friend Jake Spencer (Hudson West). Is Charlotte’s situation more complicated than that then?
Fans should make sure to watch the ABC soap daily to find out what happens next, as GH spoilers hint that viewers should prepare for the unexpected.
