Has the show hired any new actors or actresses for contract, recurring, or day player roles? Are any well-known or adored actors from other soap operas—past or present—about to make a surprise new appearance on General Hospital? Here is the most recent ABC soap opera casting information.

The week of October 9, 2023

In Port Charles, a well-known face from the past makes an appearance. Rena Sofer is back in the role of Lois Cerullo, which she first started playing in 1993 and for which she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. The character, who makes his television debut on Tuesday, October 10, is likely to interact right away with Wally Kurth’s Ned Quartermaine/Eddie Maine, Tracy Quartermaine played by Jane Elliot, Olivia Quartermaine by Lisa LoCicero, and Brook Lynn Quartermaine by Amanda Setton.

Bonnie Burroughs is currently acting as Gladys Corbin. Burroughs, who was originally intended to appear on the soap for a brief period, stayed for four years.

In other exit news, Lauren Swickard, the real-life wife of Chase actor Josh Swickard, has finished playing Ferncliff nurse Janice. And Darin Toonder has finished playing the villainous Dr. Montague.

Bradford Anderson makes a brief cameo appearance as Damian Spinelli. This week, keep an eye out for the character to return.
