All negative things have to end. And boy, was Darin Toonder’s portrayal of Dr. Montague on General Hospital one of the show’s most vicious villains in recent memory. The actor offers his opinions on the ending of the bad doctor’s terror campaign.
Darin Toonder: The Doctor Is Out
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), who prevented Sasha’s doctor from injecting her with something we can only assume was quite harmful, helped Dr. Montague get caught after torturing poor Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) for months.
In an Instagram reel, Toonder said, “With the Dr. Montague storyline coming to an end, I wanted to take the time to make a video to say, ‘Thank you,’ to all you General Hospital fans. Guys, it has been so much fun portraying such a villain and having you either love me, love me to hate me, or just hate me!

“I had a lot of fun creating my posts. Reading and responding to your comments gave me even more pleasure, the actor continues. “Both the good and the bad. My favorite “bad” one, I think, was “Watching you makes me want to throw up!” That was a really good one. I won’t mince words. I actually laughed aloud at that one. I appreciate you doing that.
Toonder had about three and a half months of daytime villainy between the start of his run on GH in mid-June and the end of his time in Port Charles in early October. Dr. Montague tricked Sasha into taking some pills that changed her mood and behavior during his reign of terror.

It’s challenging to contain a good bad guy like Dr. Montague. But it’s impossible to predict whether or when Dr. Montague will come back to GH.
