‘Thank you for your beautiful words, because I’m lost for mine.’
Former Home and Away star Sarah Roberts has paid tribute to her brother Karl, who died four years ago after a 15-year-long brain cancer battle.
Karl, who lived in Dublin, passed away on October 23, 2019.
On Monday night, Sarah took to Instagram to share footage of her brother and a quote from a Home and Away fan site.
“Thank you @willex24 for your beautiful words because I’m lost for mine,” she wrote.
“4 years without him today 💔😇.”
Sarah then shared the emotional quote.
It said, “You will lose someone you can’t live without, and your heart will be severely broken. The bad news is that you never fully recover from the loss, but the good news is that they live on forever in your broken heart, which doesn’t close again, and you overcome.”
“It’s like having a broken leg that never heals perfectly; you have to learn to dance with the limp, but it still hurts when it gets cold.”10.23.2019.

Love and support were expressed to Sarah in the comments area by friends and fellow celebs.
Ada Nicodemou, a co-star on Home and Away, sent three red love hearts as emojis, while Donny Galella, a stylist to the stars, added, “Sending you a HUGE hug.”

“Sarah, you have my undying love today. I’m also sending hugs. Another said, “Your brother will be so proud of you.
“The loss is genuine and today is difficult. A third stated, “It’s still terrible, and he is missed.
“Today, I’m thinking of you all.”
Four years prior, the well-known actress announced her brother’s passing on Instagram.
She wrote at the time, “Three months ago today he walked me down the aisle and now he is walking with the angels.”
“I have 34 years of wonderful memories of growing up together as children and adults, but I also have a hole in my heart.
“Big Squirt, you bravely battled to the very end, and I swear to always uphold your standards and keep in mind the lessons you taught me, like ‘having no regrets’ and ‘it’s all about the journey, not the destination.'”
“I salute, love, and cherish you.”

Alexander and Aurora, Karl’s two children, and his wife Susana were left behind.
Sarah stated that she and her co-star James Stewart from Home and Away chose to get married in Ireland so that Karl, who was too sick to travel, could attend the nuptials in an interview with Who magazine earlier that year.
“The most important thing for us is for our families to come together, for us all to be together, and for everyone to just have a good time,” she stated. “I wanted it to be a celebration of love.”

Beneath her most recent Instagram post, followers shared their own experiences of loss and grief.
