‘It’s the start of a big storyline that will go on for a while.’

A new physician is about to change everything at Summer Bay and play a crucial role in an exciting new plot.

On Tuesday’s episode, Tristan Gorey, 28, a resident of Perth, will appear on screen as Dr. Levi, a cardiothoracic surgeon who comes to save the life of a beloved character from Home and Away.

Tristan has exclusively disclosed fresh information on his involvement and function as a “central character.”

He tells 7Life, “Levi enters during a really high-stakes storyline.”

He is engaged in combat to preserve the life of a major character.

“Fans will be captivated as it’s the beginning of a major plot that will last for a while.”

When the audition arose, the actor, who was residing in Perth, discovered that he was “attached to Levi straight away.”

Tristan was instructed to pack his luggage and take the risky journey to Sydney following a successful self-tape and chemistry test.

“I believe that right now, Sydney is where I should be.” And I’m enjoying every second of it,” he remarks of his new residence.

“I want to get involved in as many communities as I can. I’d like to join a run club, practise archery on the weekends and maybe do some rock climbing occasionally.”

With many other stars coming from the west, Tristan has discovered a small piece of home while living in a new city on the Home and Away set.

Juliet Godwin, Ally Harris, and Jacqui Purvis are among them; Tristan is already acquainted with them from “many moons ago.”

As a humorous aside, Tristan remarks, “We’ve got our own little hospital hub that’s just run by Perth people, which I think is kind of cute.” Juliet, Ally, and Tristan’s characters are all employed at the hospital.

He continues, “I’m excited to be working with Juliet,” revealing that the two of them attended WAAPA, the Performing Arts Academy in Washington, a few years apart.

He received guidance from Juliet, who moved to the Bay in August 2022, on keeping up with the “very fast storylines” and understanding what was going on on set.

However, Tristan notes that “everyone has been so warm and welcoming” because the cast is so close.

He also gave an insight into life on the Home and Away set, sharing that if the set were a house, “I would compare the makeup department to the kitchen”.

“Everyone kind of comes to the kitchen to hang out and chat,” he says.

“It’s our first port of call and usually our last where we all say goodbye.”

Making him feel at home is the head of makeup Laura, who Tristan calls the “mother hen” of the entire cast.

“The makeup department is just such a wonderful place to start your day,” the actor says.
