Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou, who has played the character Leah since 2000, recently shared a throwback clip from her first ever scene on the soap which left fans in shock

Fans of the Australian soap opera Home and Away are praising Ada Nicodemou for her timeless beauty after she posted a throwback video of her character Leah’s opening scene.

The 46-year-old actress became one of the cast members with the longest tenure when she made her on-screen debut in March 2000.

Ada reminisced in the retro video about Leah’s entrance in Summer Bay, where her character sought safety after escaping her fiancé.

Admirers showered the comments area with praise, marveling at Ada’s look that seems to have not changed in almost 24 years.

One fan cried out, “You haven’t even aged!!!!” while another one went crazy, “OMG! This reminds me so much of my school days, even though I’m 39 now. I cherished Vinnie and Leah.

Another added: “Aww Leah and Vinnie! These were the best Home & Away days And Justine!”

Several comments highlighted Ada’s timeless looks, with remarks like, “You literally look the same. Gorgeous!” and “Ain’t even aged, look younger than ever.”

Ada has been a central figure in Home and Away’s most dramatic storylines over the past two decades. Recently, her character Leah and partner Justin Morgan, played by James Stewart, faced a harrowing kidnapping and near-death experience.

Despite the challenging scenes, Ada emphasised the importance of telling such stories and acknowledged the emotional toll it took on her.

She said to New Idea, “It’s been challenging.” It has been quite taxing to film this plot, but it is a very vital one to convey.

“It’s been really good career-wise, because I’ve had a lot of big storylines over the past year,” Ada continued.

The actress clarifies, though, that Home and Away is her “other family” and explains why she has stuck with the program for so long. Jimmy and I have a great working relationship because of our shared passion for the task. In the Bay, everyone helps one another; it’s very beautiful.

Looking ahead to 2024, Ada teased fans with the prospect of more joy in Leah’s life. The last we saw of Leah, she was checking into a mental health facility after her unresolved trauma caused her to have a breakdown and pull a knife on Justin.

“It will be another big year for Leah but I think there’s a lot more joy in her life this year and the fans may finally get what they have been asking for a while,” Ada said in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle.

Following the shocking loss of her co-star Johnny Ruffo, Ada recently shared a heartfelt homage to him.

She posted an old photo of the two and referred to 35-year-old Johnny as a “beautiful friend.”
Johnny passed away in a Sydney hospital earlier this month, accompanied by his loved ones and Tahnee Sims, his partner.

Stars have been remembering the actor on social media ever since the news of his passing broke.

She shared a throwback snap of the pair, as she called 35 year old Johnny a “beautiful friend.”
