On Friday night, Michael Condron of Coronation Street will be back at Weatherfield in the role of far-right extremist Griff Reynolds, out to find and kill Roy Cropper.
Michael Condron worked as a delivery driver by day and starred in two seasons of Game of Thrones before taking on the role of returning antagonist Griff Reynolds on Coronation Street. The Tudors and the BBC Northern Ireland series Fairy Tales are among the actor’s other credits.
Far-right extremist Griff makes a dramatic comeback to the ITV soap opera this Friday, May 24. Upon being moved back to Weatherfield Prison, the builder is resolved to force Roy Cropper (portrayed by David Neilson) to admit to killing Lauren Bolton.
Griff lures Roy into the library, holds him at knifepoint, and asks him to explain how and why he did the deed. Griff’s violent return signifies Michael’s first episode since February 2023.
Prior to making her debut as the character in August 2022, the Belfast-born celebrity drove deliveries for ASDA during the COVID-19 pandemic. When discussing his fulfilling career with Daily Mirror, the actor stated, “Everyone has a role to play in these times.”
“I believe that people who work in supermarkets are frequently taken for granted, and people today should truly appreciate the hard work that everyone does.” I moved here, got a job, and I adore it.”
He said at the time that a lot of his patrons knew him from Game of Thrones.
Michael played Bowen Marsh, the esteemed First Steward at Castle Black, from 2015 to 2016.
The actor made his television debut in “The Wars To Come,” an episode from season five of the show, and met a grisly end in “Oathbreaker,” an episode from season six.
Customers would approach the Game of Thrones actor during his delivery runs, he claimed, and ask, “Aren’t you that guy off the telly?”
The manager of Belfast Shore Road store, Kate, continued, “Having a local celebrity work with us is nice.”
“Despite his distinct appearance, Michael is a very modest and humble man who hasn’t said anything to his customers, but he has been recognized!”
In addition, he had a brief appearance as a Sailor in the first season of The Tudors and portrayed Ben McGregor in the TV comedy series Soft Border Patrol.
