In Emmerdale, Belle Dingle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) horrifying ordeal is about to come to a head because her abuser, Tom King (James Chase), could potentially die.
When he discovers that Belle has been to the abortion clinic while trying to flee the village, he becomes enraged and erupts.
However, he pays a price for his destructive behavior when he gets electrocuted.
Is this the last we see of him?
In another scene, scared Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) receives advice from Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), but it’s not what the imprisoned villager wants to hear.
In relation to jail, Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) may go there if his attack on Amit is discovered, which it may.
Monday June 24
Belle admits to Tom that she told him she had a miscarriage rather than an abortion when speaking with Rachel, her mental health coordinator.
The longer their appointment goes on, the more Belle fears that Rachel is beginning to see how controlling Tom is and is eager for her to leave. However, as Rachel continues to reassure Belle, the truth of Tom’s abuse finally sinks in.
Encouraged to take a vacation from Tom, Belle nods warily but looks scared. Belle, conflicted, looks out of a taxi window.
In the meantime, Tom is shocked to find that Belle has been lying to him when Noah tells him that Belle wasn’t walking Piper yesterday but was in town for an appointment.
He can’t control his growing rage when he finds out Belle went to the abortion clinic. Tom strikes everything and everything with an old rusty iron bar.
Tom, nearing exhaustion, throws back his arm in a last-ditch attempt to swing, but is electrocuted and violently thrown against a beam as the metal bar slams into the barn’s rotating isolator behind him.
If Tom is unconscious or worse, Belle is prepared to leave with her case packed and in the taxi.
Thursday June 27
Jai and Pollard have a heated exchange that Laurel observes, but Jai masks his rage at Pollard. Subsequently, Suni seeks counsel from Laurel regarding Nicky, who is eager to part ways.
Reminding Suni of the value of compromise in their relationship, Laurel tells him that Jai would be heartbroken if he left right away. Suni walked away reflective. Will Nicky have the ability to persuade him to go?
When Pollard doesn’t pay for his drinks, Laurel gets suspicious and sends her to talk to Jai about it. Laurel arrives at Mulberry Cottage after taking the advice, and she questions Jai about Pollard’s harsh demeanor.
Jai senses the net drawing near, but will he be honest with Laurel?
Returning to Home Farm with Evan, Dawn quickly develops paranoia at the prospect of the kids seeing their newborn brother, and Billy becomes concerned about her overzealous protectiveness.
Matty has told Amy not to come visit, and Amy worries about him. When Matty calls Amy from prison, they have a tense but meaningful exchange. When he has to end the call, he does so with a brave smile.
When Matty goes back to his cell and finds Hardman, he tries to hide his horror. Les has moved in next to him. Les keeps the prison novice worried about his safety by taunting him in his cell with a string of witty and disconcerting remarks.
Friday June 28
When Cain visits Matty, his attempts to comfort him are ineffective. Fearful, he identifies Les as his new cellmate and finds it difficult to control his feelings in spite of Cain’s attempts to give guidance.
When Cain tells Matty to use force against anyone who threatens him, he is afraid of what he will have to do.
Rose feels more connected to her daughter after Dawn says something sincere about her innate parenting skills, and the two of them begin constructing the fort.
