Cait Fitton has revealed that she went back to Coronation Street in dramatic moments as Lauren Bolton, months after the adolescent disappeared.
The real reason Lauren Bolton returned to Weatherfield has been revealed by Coronation Street’s Cait Fitton.

On Monday, July 8, the ITV soap opera finally disclosed the little girl’s true destiny when she visited Roy Cropper (David Neilson), who was hospitalized following a heart attack.

Following her disappearance earlier this year, Lauren was presumed dead. It has been reported that forthcoming scenes will clarify Lauren’s reason to avoid the cobbles for so long following her vicious attack by groomer Joel Deering (Calum Lill).

Actress Cait discussed her captivating plot, saying: “Since Lauren left Weatherfield, she has been sleeping on the streets and running from hostel to hostel. She has been kicked out of several hostels because she is unable to pay the rent.

“Obviously, Lauren needs to consider further safety measures at this point. She doesn’t want to take that chance or relive the trauma since she doesn’t know where Joel is and she had a near-death encounter with him.

“After learning that Roy was in the hospital, Lauren made the decision to return. She realizes that this has hurt him not just psychologically but also physically, so she realizes that she needs to make amends by going back. “I have to do it, no matter what the consequences are.” Roy meant the world to her.

“Lauren fears disappointing other people. She is aware that Roy is loved by everyone on the street and that she will have to deal with the response she receives from them. She has always been in survival mode, even now.”

The 22-year-old Cait also detailed the drastic measures taken, such as hiding in car boots, to guarantee that her stunning comeback remained a secret.

“I had to slip in and out of the building, relying on lifts from Calum [Lill] but making sure I was hidden by getting in the boot,” she remarked.

“I would still be in the boot, and others would be taking photos at the front. That was quite disorganized! It was little, like an enormous game of twister within that boot.

There were times when I had to get on the floor in a taxi, the driver was wondering what’s going on – and I’d just shout go go go! It was mad. Fun but mental. I never thought I would have to be doing that to get into work.”

Fans were left concerned for Lauren’s safety after she vanished following a violent showdown with Joel and fans will have to wait and see how he reacts to her return.
