One young star in particular has left fans of ITV’s popular drama Emmerdale perplexed as he is yet to appear on the program.
Fans of Emmerdale are worried because Arthur Thomas doesn’t seem to be there.
Alfie Clarke’s character, Young Arthur, hasn’t been seen on the ITV drama since last month. However, Arthur’s absence has been noticeable as long as Emmerdale airs dramatic sequences starring Laurel Thomas.
After a furious fight with her husband Jai Sharma, Arthur’s mother Laurel had an unplanned heart attack at the neighborhood church. When Laurel came home from the hospital on Tuesday, July 9, she was welcomed by Jai, Gabby, and Dotty. However, viewers quickly noticed that Laurel’s kid was not included in the group photo.
Fans noticed that Arthur hadn’t been mentioned in a while and went to X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter. A viewer commented: “They haven’t mentioned Arthur whatsoever, has Gabby or Laurel not told him.”
Another said: “Where’s Arthur these days haven’t seen him for ages.” While a third also added: “Haven’t seen Arthur for a while.”
However, astute fans may recall, Arthur’s absence was brought up during Thursday, June 27’s hour-long episode of Emmerdale, when viewers learned that he had left for Australia. This occurred a few days prior to the escalation of his mother Laurel’s drama.
While talking about the difficulties of living at Home Farm in the midst of infant Evan’s illness, Laurel and her stepdaughter Gabby brought up Arthur’s departure for sunnier climates.
Laurel recommended in the chat that Gabby return home to be with her kid.
She said: “Arthur’s in Australia and there’s more than enough room in the inn. Gabby, you and Thomas are family – you’re always welcome. And, to be honest, I could do with another woman in the house.”
But this came as a surprise to some viewers. One fan took to X and wrote at the time: “Erm, when did Arthur go to Australia?” While another added: “Arthur’s in Australia?! I’ve clearly missed something there.”
Away from Arthur, the 16-year-old actor is Alfie. This suggests that he was probably finishing up his GCSEs this summer. The young celebrity further revealed on Instagram that he had been having fun at his June end-of-school prom with pals.
