Evil Joel Deering (Callum Lill) is pushed to his limits in Coronation Street next week, as he hits out at Besty Swain (Sydney Martin) after she attempts to threaten him.
Forthcoming scenes in the ITV soap will see DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) pay Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) a visit in hospital intent on asking her some questions, after she goes into early labour with her and Joel’s baby.
Viewers will know that Joel was responsible for the attack on Lauren, which left police believing that she was dead. He is also the father of her baby after grooming her.
With Joel having now become a father for the second time, his attention is placed elsewhere next week when Betsy continues to blackmail the sinister solicitor.
DS Swain’s daughter is the only one who knows Joel’s true nature, after he tried to get best mate Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos) drunk, and is demanding money in exchange for her silence.
In a tense clash, Joel is left seething when Betsy reminds him that he owes her after throwing her out of his car in the middle of a rough estate last month.
Things take a more sinister turn, however, when she demands £100 or she will blab about him picking up young girls.
Losing his temper, he violently drags her into the ginnel – just how far will he go to silence her?
