Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan has hinted that she could be set to reprise her role as Rosie Webster on the ITV soap

Coronation Street‘s beloved Rosie Webster, brought to life by Helen Flanagan, has hinted at a comeback to the hit ITV soap under one particular term.

Having first set foot on the famous cobbles in 2000 at just nine years old, Helen swiftly captured the hearts of viewers as Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Kevin’s (Michael Le Vell) troublesome offspring.

Over her stint on the show, Helen embodied Rosie’s evolution from child to teen, entangling herself in many gripping plots ranging from romantic entanglements to family feuds, testament to her character’s resonance with fans.

However, in 2012, she decided to exit the scene, opting to explore new acting opportunities and made headlines during her memorable participation in I’m A Celebrity the same year.

Her cameo return in 2017 was short-lived; she left once more in 2018 to embrace motherhood again with the birth of her second child, Delilah, following which she stepped away from the limelight.

On Thursday (August 15), Helen graced the set of Loose Women, sharing the stage with Sally Dynevor – her former fictional mother, now Sally Metcalfe in Coronation Street.

Helen, who is the real-life mother of Matilda, seven, Delilah, five, and Charlie, two, faced the inevitable question about a potential return to the Street. She responded: “I would love Rosie to go back especially if she was mum so she could dump the kids on Sally.

“I think that would be really fun, to come back and cause some chaos,” Helen revealed.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star last year, Helen confessed her desire to return to the cobbles.

She enthused: “I’d love to go back to Corrie, I really, really would, but it has to be when the time’s right because my little boy’s only young, he’s just turned one.”

Meanwhile Helen is set to appear on this year’s series of Celebs Go Dating, alongside famous faces like Chris Taylor and Jamelia, reports the Liverpool Echo.
