A new development featuring Nate Robinson is being planned for Emmerdale in advance of his expected exit from the ITV soap opera. The well-liked character, portrayed by actor Jurell Carter, who was born in Leicester, is anticipated to go later this year, and rumors have it that it will be a dramatic farewell.

According to the most recent Emmerdale rumors, Nate is at the center of a brand-new plot in which it’s believed he is keeping a secret. According to the Mirror, the latest secret is related to his continuing conflict with his father, Cain Dingle.

Previews for next week reveal that Cain clashes with his son as his wife Moira Dingle continues to behave unusually. As fans express concern for her, suspecting a health storyline is imminent, she instigates a rift between Nate and Cain in forthcoming scenes.

In the midst of this fall-out, it becomes clear that Nate is hiding something from his family, leaving his ex Tracy Metcalfe puzzled. Nate will discreetly take a mysterious phone call, with no indication of who he is speaking to or what the conversation entails.

Tracy presumes it’s a new woman in his life following their breakup, and it’s clear she still harbours feelings for her ex. But what is Nate up to, and what is he keeping secret?

More will be unveiled in future scenes ahead of his potential exit from the show. Nate and Cain’s latest set-to comes after Cain finds his son and Moira sharing a drink. It’s apparent that even after all these years, he hasn’t moved on from their affair nearly five years ago. While the pair have become closer since then and Moira and Cain are still together, Moira’s odd behaviour and her closeness with Nate leaves Cain angry.

Nate is left shocked when his father confronts him about his relationship with Moira, questioning what’s happening. Nate feels hurt as he tries to convince Cain that their relationship is in a good place, and soon after, Cain leaves to attend to his other children.

Speculation about Leicester actor Jurell’s future on Emmerdale first emerged in late June when The Sun reported that the actor had chosen to leave the world of soap operas. An insider said at the time: “Nate has been at the centre of some huge storylines and his exit will be no different.

“It will be dramatic and explosive and will go down in Emmerdale history. It won’t be one to miss. Jurell has loved being on the soap but he’s a young actor and it’s understandable he wants to spread his wings. He’s got a lot of talent – not to mention the looks – to become a big star and leaving the soap is the only way he can do that. Five years is a good run but he feels it’s time.”
