A one-time match at Buckle Reserve in Menai, southern Sydney, was attended by the 46-year-old radio anchor as part of a partnership with her station Nova FM.
She was seen sprinting across the field to encourage her teammates, showing that she gave the game her best.
During the game versus Grays Point Soccer Club, the Home and Away actress was spotted grinning and laughing, joining in on all the matchday fun.
Kate looked sporty in the black and yellow soccer uniform of the Menai Hawks, accessorizing her look with a bold red pair of boots.
She gave the game everything she had, and one Instagram user who claimed to have witnessed the action said she even scored a goal.
In the days leading up to the event, Fitzy & Wippa, her Nova radio program with Kate Ritchie, posted a variety of videos to Instagram, encouraging listeners to attend.

The Menai Hawks are sponsored by Nova, whose emblem appears on their soccer strip. Kate’s participation was a part of an effort to promote both the team and the station.
Kate had trained with Sydney FC goalie Andrew Redmayne prior to the game, and pictures from the lighthearted practice were posted to Instagram.
In the video, Kate was seen practicing her talents on the field with the well-known soccer player while playing both goalie and striker.
Andrew threw goals at Kate, but Kate saved them, showing herself to be a natural. Andrew later said he was being forgiving.
The presenter also made light of the fact that she had trained for her on-field debut by watching her 10-year-old daughter Mae play soccer.
After nine years of marriage, Kate and her NRL star ex-husband Stuart Webb divorced in 2019. Together, they had a daughter named Mae.
The former couple got back together earlier this month to celebrate their daughter Mae’s tenth birthday and went out to breakfast as a group.
