Leanne has been caught up with Weatherfield’s newest cult called The Institute in recent months, but she seems to have finally seen the light of day and their shady dealings
Coronation Street fans are furious at Leanne Battersby after they detected a major slip-up.
She has found herself caught up in some shady dealings after joining Weatherfield’s new cult called The Institute.
Leanne has been distancing herself from her family and friends after listening to the charming Rowan – and she has tried her hand at luring in more members.
However, after coming across some disturbing images and recordings on Rowan’s laptop, she seems to have seen the light.
On the soap’s latest episode, Leanne took it upon herself to try to delete some of the private files The Institute has kept on Weatherfield residents. Some eagle eyed viewers also managed to see that Leanne even sent a message with one of The Institute’s files.
During the spare few seconds she had to take action, Leanne angered viewers as she was deleting files individually and she committed one grave error.
Taking to Reddit, one fan said: “How dumb is Leanne? Doesn’t she know Just by binning stuff on an apple? It goes into the bin and just sits there and can be restored very easily.!!! Any idiot knows that !!!”
A second person wrote, “I hope she emptied the bin as well,” with a third watcher saying: “Why was she just deleting it one by one”.
A fourth commenter shared: “She needs to make sure she empties the recycle bin as well.”
A fifth person added: “Crtl a crtl x What is the sorcery?? I was screaming her to highlight and drag all over”.
With another viewer writing: “For God’s sake Leanne, Ctrl-A!”
While she didn’t have much time to delete the files on the laptop, people thought she could have used her time better.
One Corrie fan said: “I was hoping she had a thumb drive in her bag and .downloaded everything Rowan had on his laptop.Then take that to the police. That would give her some real ammo”.
With another soap lover adding: “[She could] even send a zip file to herself. Maybe not enough time but she could have at least tried to get some of it.
“Maybe she could have also taken screenshots (ideally with something identifying it as Rowan’s laptop) and sent herself that. Far from ideal but it would have been something.”
