New Path: ‘It’s My Greatest Honour,’ Says Coronation Street’s Antony Cotton as He Unveils Major New Role Beyond the Cobbles

A whole new role that is miles apart from the Coronation Street cobbles has been unveiled by Anthony Cotton.

The 49-year-old soap opera actress has spent the previous 21 years as a constant in Weatherfield.

He plays the flamboyant and lovable Sean Tully, who is father to Dylan Wilson.

But taking to social media, Antony has shared a new role with his followers.

He’s revealed he’s joined the Royal British Legion.

Posting a snap on Instagram stories, he explained: “It is with huge pride that I have accepted the position to be President of the St James Royal British Legion @royalbritishlegion.

“I look forward to both the changes we can make, and the challenges the role will bring.

“Working for our Armed Forces is my greatest honour.”

Antony’s involvement with the British military since 2008.

In 2022, he was awarded an MBE from the late Queen for his services to the British Army, personnel and veterans.

Antony recently revealed his secret side hustle, as he told fans he was renting out a stunning three-bedroom property in Scarborough on AirBNB.

Alongside pictures of the property’s interior, Antony wrote on Instagram: “Coming soon to Scarborough – a luxury three bedroom, three bathroom townhouse to enjoy, for a break away on the Yorkshire Riviera!”
