Next week on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, there will be some dramatic sequences with significant revelations, unsettling turns, and unexpected moments.
One character is trapped by their abuser and must face their darkest nightmare, while another character connected to the plot is exposed for a recent deception. However, they might not be the only ones to find out—other residents’ secrets can also come to light.
Elsewhere, there’s a health scare for one resident, a new opportunity for a newcomer and a shock affair viewers will not see coming. The biggest moment of the week will see Belle Dingle contemplate whether or not to report abusive husband Tom King.
Amid him manipulating Amelia Spencer and using her to keep an eye on Belle and those in the village, things reach a worrying point next week. After fleeing their shared home recently and with Tom AWOL, Belle is stunned to learn the house has seemingly been trashed.
As she enters with sister-in-law Lydia Dingle, she’s horrified to find things everywhere and soon finds a screw on the floor. She identifies it as a mini secret camera, realising Tom had been spying on her in secret.
The next day, Lydia tentatively urges Belle to go to the police about the hidden cameras. But Belle adamantly refuses to report him out of fear of having to relive traumatic experiences and share personal footage in court.
Belle soon reconsiders though as Lydia hopes she’s done enough to get her to report Tom. But disaster could strike, as Belle is trapped by Tom after she plans to have a private talk with Amelia – who has been secretly helping Tom, convinced he’s innocent and that they are going to be together.
Tom is using her though and this is evident next week when Belle agrees to speak with Amelia, only for Tom to let himself in. As he blocks her exit and proceeds to lock the doors, will someone come to Belle’s rescue?
It isn’t clear if Amelia has set Belle up in sickening scenes, but her involvement with Tom is also exposed next week. Her lies about not knowing where Tom is are rumbled by Kerry Wyatt, but will they manage to help Belle?
Another character rumbled next week is John Sugden, after fans saw some mystery dog tags recently. Amid him rushing to the aid of Eric Pollard during a health scare, John is offered a job at the surgery.
But he’s left horrified when he finds sister Victoria Sugden snooping around his camper van, where she’s found the dog tags with the name Aidan Moore on them. Fresh from her discovery that John has been messaging Aaron Dingle, she finds the tags only to be caught out by a furious John who throws her out – but will he finally explain who Aidan is?
Finally there’s trouble in paradise for Manpreet Sharma and partner Charles Anderson, amid Laurel Thomas’ split from Jai Sharma. Just as Manpreet is advising her former stepson Jai about his split, Laurel is giving into passion with Charles as a row leads to a shock kiss.
In an affair viewers will no doubt not see coming, Charles bickers with Laurel over her harvest festival ideas. When she goes ahead with them Charles is enraged and he snaps, but soon they are kissing and one thing leads to another!
