Following his summertime move to Albert Square with his sons Harry (Elijah Holloway) and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman), Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) has been making every effort to impress his new neighbors.

Next week, though, while he tries to conceal his family’s history, he meets a new adversary in copper Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

As viewers are aware, there has been a suggestion that the newcomers, who were first seen as Stevie Mitchell’s (Alan Ford) covert second family, are concealing a sinister secret. Harry had earlier informed his father that “you know who” had been searching for them ever since their move.

Teddy has also enlisted Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) to fiddle his books and hide his wealth, after taking on the accountant’s debts from cousin Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

In forthcoming scenes, Teddy joins forces with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) to convince Phil to give Harry a trial shift at The Arches. While Harry isn’t convinced, he soon relents after Jack makes a comment about his work ethic.

A new feud then begins when Teddy visits No.27 and issues Jack with a threat as recompense – but this only spurs police officer Jack to keep a closer eye on the family.

Later, Teddy issues a warning to his son, reiterating what could be at stake if the police start looking into their affairs…

When Harry later meets with a contact at McClunky’s, Jack overhears and orders a warrant to search the garage, leading to Phil firing him.

Harry is the topic for gossip on the Square, but Teddy convinces Phil to let Harry see out the work week at The Arches and concocts a plan to clear his sons name by holding a charity event for Sonia at Michell’s Autos.

Phil is shocked to learn of the event, but Teddy manages to diffuse the situation by announcing the fundraiser was Harry’s idea and Phil agrees to give him his job back.

However, an unrelenting Jack continues to voice his suspicions on Harry and Teddy, leaving them worried.

Just what are they so keen to cover up? And will Walford’s worst copper actually manage to uncover something for once?
