Tom returns to the village in a frightening manner the following week on Emmerdale, just as Belle is about to denounce him to the police.

1. Belle makes an unsettling discovery
Belle’s landlord Kim gets in touch to warn her that Dale Head has been left in a state. There’d been no problem when Belle was last there, so she heads to the cottage with Lydia to investigate what has happened.
Tom recently removed his hidden spycams from the property, but Belle finds one that he forgot to collect. She’s horrified by the realisation that Tom was secretly watching her after she ended their relationship.
2. Belle considers her next move
Lydia encourages Belle to report Tom to the police over the hidden cameras and the other examples of his abuse. Belle remains reluctant, as she’s intimidated by the thought of reliving the trauma and potentially sharing personal footage in court.
Belle questions Lydia on her experience of reporting Craig Reed to the police. It’s emotional for Lydia as she talks about her own past, but she hopes she has done enough to convince Belle to report Tom.
3. Tom makes a worrying return
Amelia informs Belle that she has reconsidered her loyalty towards Tom and wants to meet up to discuss the situation further.
Belle waits for Amelia to arrive at Wishing Well cottage, but Tom turns up instead. After sneaking in through the back door, Tom locks the exits and tries to stop Belle from leaving. Has Amelia teamed up with Tom to set Belle up?
4. Victoria questions John about Aaron
Victoria tries to show John some old family photos, but he seems more interested in scrolling through his phone. She grabs the device and is surprised to spot that John is still texting Aaron.
Wondering how serious this relationship is, Victoria questions John on his secret links to Aaron. She doesn’t get much information from John, but this only leaves her more determined to find out what else he is hiding.
5. Victoria makes a second discovery
Victoria heads to John’s van to apologise for overstepping the boundaries with him. When she knocks and gets no response, she can’t resist heading inside without permission.
Victoria finds John’s mysterious dog tags, which have the name ‘Aidan Moore’ printed on them. John then turns up and is clearly furious to find Victoria snooping again, so he turns her away.
6. Laurel clashes with Charles
Laurel meets with Charles, Claudette and Manpreet to discuss the church’s plans for the harvest festival.
Charles and Claudette both react badly to Laurel’s suggestions, fearing that they’re too modern for a church setting.
7. Laurel and Charles’ argument turns to more
Laurel refuses to back down over her ideas, so Charles is annoyed when he finds out that she went ahead without his blessing.
The pair row at Woodbine Cottage, but their tension turns to passion as they share a kiss and rush upstairs.
8. Manpreet could get more than she’d bargained for
Manpreet gives Jai some advice, suggesting that he should be more honest with Laurel about how he still has feelings for her.
When Manpreet realises that this advice could also apply to her own broken relationship, she heads to Woodbine to tell Charles that she’s still in love with him. But with Laurel and Charles inside, could Manpreet get more than she’d bargained for?
9. Amelia sparks suspicion
Amelia continues to clash with Belle and Chas, accusing them of a malicious campaign to badmouth Tom.
Amy and Kerry smell a rat, uncovering further evidence which suggests that Amelia is still in contact with Tom.
10. John gets a new job
Liam is impressed when John steps in quickly to deal with Eric’s angina attack.
John is pleased with the praise and accepts a new job at Brook Surgery.
