EastEnders airs an emotional exit scenes as a devastated character leave Walford on Thursday night’s upcoming episode.

Bobby Beale – who is played by Clay Milner Russell – is exiting the iconic soap and emotional scenes are set to pull on the heart strings of fans.

Bobby first appeared in the BBC One soap in July, 2003, following his birth and has had many ups and downs in Walford.

His exit comes after a huge fallout with girlfriend Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) and best friend Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).

In Wednesday night’s episode, Bobby walked in on Anna and Freddie kissing and was left completely distraught.

He also discovered that Anna was planning on getting an abortion after finding out she was pregnant with his baby.

Bobby and Anna decided they still wanted to be together but a scheming Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) then lied to him.

She wrongly told him that Anna had admitted she had feelings for Freddie and that she would break his heart if he stuck around.

This prompted Bobby to suggest that he could go and stay with Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) in the Cotswolds, and Cindy encouraged him to do so.

Spoilers reveal Ian Beale desperately tries to get Bobby to stay in Walford by driving Freddie out of the Square.

It comes after EastEnders fans have been left raging after the soap was snubbed at the National Television Awards last Wednesday night.

The glitzy annual event, which took place at London‘s O2 Arena, was hosted by comedian Joel Dommett and saw all of TV’s best known faces come together in one room as they hope to win big.

Despite being nominated for multiple gongs, the BBC show failed to secure a single win, with viewers claiming it has been ‘robbed’.

The programme was up for Best Serial Drama, which was controversially taken home by ITV’s Emmerdale.

Actress Angela Wynter was also in the running for the individual Best Serial Drama Performance category, for her portrayal of Yolande Trueman, alongside her co-star Diane Parish who plays Denise Fox.

But they both missed out, with Coronation Street‘s Peter Ash instead bagging the award for his portrayal of Paul Foreman, following his character’s emotional journey with motor neurone disease (MND).

Fans of EastEnders took to social media to express their disappointment with the result, taking to X to write:

‘Not only was #EastEnders the only soap to get cheered when the theme played, they’re also the liveliest cast!’

‘EastEnders not winning best soap, this award show is a joke #NTAs.’

‘Bulls***! Angela Wynter deserved that award. Her performance was outstanding! #EastEnders #NTAs.’

‘What a disappointment. #EastEnders is the winner to me! #NTAS.’

‘Sounds like the #NTAs were a disaster across the board? Ant and Dec still winning somehow, Mrs.Browns Boys AND not getting best soap? The NTAs are a scam!’

‘I like both Emmerdale and Eastenders – but honestly Eastenders has been incredible for so long now. I was genuinely shocked that they didn’t win.’

‘Me after watching the abysmal #NTAs #EastEnders were robbed.’

‘Ohh I’m DONE with the ITV NTA Awards – EastEnders was robbed!!! #NTAs #EastEnders.’

‘Emmerdale won Best Soap? This is crazy. #EastEnders #NTAs.’

‘Whaaat I was expecting Eastenders as the best soap! #Eastenders #NTAs.’

‘Emmerdale! Are you kidding me! #Eastenders, you were robbed. Robbed, I tell you.’

‘EASTENDERS WAS ROBBED!!!! #NationalTelevisionAwards #NTAS #EastEnders.’

It comes after Danny Dyer brutally teased EastEnders fans as he shouted: ‘Bring Mick back!’ while onstage at the awards show.

The actor, 47, who portrayed Mick Carter on EastEnders for nine years, was presenting the award for New Drama with his Rivals co-star Katherine Parkinson when the quip came.

Before Danny began reading the nominees, he spotted some current EastEnders stars in the audience and told them he missed them.

Then, addressing the whole audience, he suddenly shouted: ‘Bring Mick back!’ And added: ‘I love you, I miss you. Bring Mick back, do you think they should bring Mick back?’

NTA viewers at home went wild in response to Danny’s outburst and flooded X, formerly Twitter, with their thoughts.

They wrote: ‘Danny dropping the easter egg #ntas’;

‘Me screaming because Danny Dyer said bring Mick back at the NTA’s which in my head means the love story we will get to chose live on the 40th anniversary will be to have Mick & Linda’s you heard it here first #EastEnders #NTAs’;

‘IM GOING TO START MANIFESTING FOR REAL. MY LOVES. L IS REUNITED WITH HER MICK. LOVE DANNY AND KELLIE SO MUCH #EastEnders #NTAs’;

‘Chill out guys. Danny Dyer is BACK on Christmas Eve “Hello Linda” #NTAs’;

‘Danny Dyer saying “bring Mick back” basically confirms Mick will come back during the 40th anniversary live episode 100% #EastEnders #NTAs’;

‘Danny dyer begging for his job at EastEnders back wasn’t in my bingo card for the #NTAs’.

Mick supposedly drowned in the English Channel while looking for his wife Linda (Kellie Bright).

However, a body has never been found, and fans have been consistently hoping for a miraculous return.

This does not seem likely, as Danny has been open about the negative impact the role has had on his career.
