During tonight’s EastEnders episode, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) spoke with Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) quite a bit.
Freddie and Anna made the decision to go bird watching together yesterday. The two friends’ relationship has been tense ever since Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) found out that his closest friend and girlfriend had shared a kiss.
This turn of events, along with issues involving Lucy Beale’s mother Cindy (Michelle Collins), finally caused Bobby to permanently leave Albert Square. Bobby is currently living with his mother Jane (Laurie Brett) because he wants to start over totally and not be plagued by memories of Walford.
In the episode airing today, Ian was sent out to discover Anna and Freddie having a great time together in the pub.
Sitting down with Cindy, Ian wasted no time in delivering a few home truths towards the young pair.
Ian confirmed that Bobby had settled in really well with Jane and had got himself a new job. While this was good news, Ian pointed out to Anna and Freddie that neither of them had actually asked how Bobby was.
The whole situation was very awkward and tense. As far as Ian was concerned, the girl who drove his son out of Walford was now hanging round his best mate ‘like a bad smell’.
These comments made Cindy furious. In order to get revenge and probably feel better about herself, she popped a message to Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) and later met up with him in Beale’s Eels to continue their affair.
In the week, an unsuspecting Ian decides to check in on the pie shop, unaware that Cindy and Junior are getting down to business inside.
As he interrupts their rendezvous, will he catch them in the act?
