A few weeks prior, in EastEnders, Michelle Collins’ character Cindy Beale drank alcohol following her failure to reunite with George Knight (Colin Salmon).

George confessed to Cindy his love for Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) and his desire to stay away from her. Broken-hearted, she walked out of the Mitchell home, picked up a bottle of vodka, and headed over to Beale’s Eels.

Cindy discovered Junior (Micah Balfour), George’s estranged son, outside. In his short time in Walford, he has already made a name for himself as a cheating love rat.

Inside, Junior told Cindy, who was looking for sympathy, that George was a fool for not taking her back. Cindy and Junior had sex on a table in the back room, disregarding the restaurant kitchen’s cross-contamination regulations.

Junior’s partner quickly found out that he had cheated on her again during the fallout, but she was unaware that Cindy was also having an affair.

With Xavier, their child, she upended her behavior and left Albert Square, declaring that Junior would never get another chance.

As Junior’s life was falling apart outside the pub, he ran into Cindy and couldn’t help but make a few flirtatious remarks.

Cindy was certain that they wouldn’t go any farther, but as she turned, she grinned, acting as though it would end right away.

In later episodes of the BBC One soap opera, Cindy offers some guidance to a depressed Junior after Xavier is unable to get in touch with him.

It’s clear from their conversation that there’s still spark between them, but where will it go?

What will happen to George and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) if Cindy and Junior start dating?
