Yasmeen Metcalfe just went on vacation to see her nephew Zeedan Nazir, leaving Coroantion Street’s Stu Carpenter to handle Eliza Woodrow and her father alone.

Eliza Woodrow, played by Savannah Kunyo in Coronation Street, may be about to lose Stu Carpenter’s (Bill Fellows) guardianship after she is involved in a hit-and-run accident.

Eliza will be stood up by her father Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt) once more in upcoming scenes.

Eliza rejects Stu’s attempt to cheer her up and his offer to accompany her to visit her mother Bridget Woodrow (Beth Vyse).

Eliza’s attitude toward Stu and her strong belief that her father is superior to him irritates Stu, who loses his cool and says that if her father truly cared about her, he wouldn’t keep disappointing her.

Eliza is furious and jumps out of the car and across the street, but she is quickly struck by another vehicle and left lying on the ground in excruciating pain.

Stu runs to Eliza, who is clutching her arm, and takes her straight to the hospital as the driver accelerates away.

After having her arm examined and bandaged, Stu feels compelled to phone Dom, who then shows up with a sizable teddy bear.

When Dom shows in, Stu and Dom immediately begin to insult each other, but Stu is swiftly silenced when Eliza asks him to leave.

At home, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) reassures Stu that when Eliza does finally recognize her father for who he is, he will be there to help pick up the pieces.

Eliza tells her parents she wants to move in with them when she gets back home, shocking Stu and Dom while Dom tries to hide his shock.

Will Eliza be able to make her own decisions if Stu can’t let her go? Or will he pursue custody and subject Dom to a legal battle?

Since his murder conviction was overturned and he began dating Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King), Stu has been content and leading a tranquil life.

He was ecstatic to be able to repair their relationship and act in Bridget’s best interests while she was serving a murder sentence in jail when he first took on the role of Eliza’s guardian.

Eliza became increasingly outspoken about her ideas and how she felt Stu smothered her as she got used to her new life with Stu and Yasmeen.

Eliza has grown more defiant and rebellious toward Stu’s upbringing of her since getting in touch with her father.

Will Eliza moving in with Dom drive Stu to despair and make him feel like a failure once more? When Bridget learns that Eliza is residing with Dom, how will she feel?
