Angelina Thomson: “It’s going to shake up the Bay”

The Home and Away saga with Stunning Organics continues with a bomb due to go off during the June 6 episode of the long-running soap opera and Kirby, played by Angelina Thomson, is right in the heart of it.

Kirby is the one who not only receives the bomb but also spreads it throughout the entirety of Summer Bay, although iconic character Marilyn (Emily Symons) was the one to start the ball rolling with her vendetta against the imaginary company!

Prior to the show, Thomson told Mediaweek that it would be “a huge episode.” The bomb is passed between numerous hands as the episode and the plot advance.

The bomb will be passed through residences, the notorious Morgan House, and even the Surf Club, one of the most recognizable locations in the drama.

“So many people may have been involved in this explosive incident. She exclaimed, “It’s going to shake up the Bay!,” which is alarming given that the advertisements imply someone “won’t come home.”

What will the ramifications be for Summer Bay?

If you thought touching our beloved Surf Club was already dramatic enough, the ramifications of the explosion will be even worse.

“There is definitely a lot of trauma that comes from this whole experience of Stunning Organics and it’s not the end of the line for the company either with this big explosion. It’s the bottom of one mountain and then the beginning of another one,” Thomson admitted.

The 26-year-old actor did, however, have one perk: daily collaboration with Symons.

Working with Emily has actually been such a gift, she said. “It has been such a treat to be able to do this storyline and get to know and hang out with Emily so much more.”

The same could be said for Thomson’s other co-stars.

It can get extremely intense at times, but it’s always for the best since you have supporting friends and family all around you. Undoubtedly, it does feel like a team.

Angelina Thomson always knew she would be on Home and Away

Thomson, who has been Kirby for a year, grew up watching the show from her Gold Coast family home with the ultimate dream of landing a part in the serial opera.

She said, “I remember thinking, ‘I could do that. “Even as I grew older, I recall thinking that I would one day appear on that show.

“I didn’t know how it was going to appear in what capacity…Nevertheless, whether people like it or not, I’ll be on Home and Away.

Thomson, a patriotic Cook Islander and Australian, is grateful for the opportunity to represent the Polynesian Islands on public television.

“Being able to represent my culture when I didn’t get to see that growing up feels like it was exciting, but it was also heartbreaking,” she admonished. “It’s an honor to be able to represent my culture, and not only that of the Cook Islands, but of all of Polynesia. I didn’t get the chance to see many people of color represented while I was growing up.

I feel it to be a luxury, something I hold in great regard, and it is always what drives me to do that for other people.
