For fans of Home and Away, there are few things more exciting than when two beloved actors become great friends.
After a very telling Instagram post from the soap’s set, it appears like one friendship could be blossoming between Ethan Browne and Jacqui Purvis.
Jacquie, who plays Felicity on the program, shared four photos of Ethan with a witty text mocking the actor.
“I get to work with @atlas143 on sometimes… it’s tough,” she wrote.
However, it was the image of them looking at each other, not her words, that sent the internet into a frenzy.
Jacqui also shared two photos of Ethan sniffing flowers and a hazy photo of the two of them giggling together.
In her comment section Ethan, who plays Tane Parata fired back by writing, “It’s a struggle for me too ? , but I’m a professional and get on with it as best as I can.”
Ethan shared a picture of himself in a car with Jacqui as he posed with a walkie-talkie.
“Away shoot with this nuisance,” he captioned the telling shot.
This isn’t the first time the two have flaunted their friendship; in August, Jacqui shared two black-and-white photos of herself piggybacking on Ethan, captioning them “Behind the scenes with E.T.”
That post also inspired speculation from fans with one querying, “Are you both good friends?”
Not only do friendships blossom on the set of Home and Away, but there are also a few romances that emerge from the program.
Sophie Dillman and Patrick O’Connor have been together for a long time, having met at an acting school in Queensland. Since joining Home and Away, their relationship has grown and reached new heights.
“We were work buddies first, and it’s helped us work well together now, so we’re lucky in that regard,” Sophie told Now To Love earlier this year.
“It’s nice to have a relationship built on friendship. At the core, we are best mates first and we treat each other like that, but it’s also made our relationship stronger starting out that way.”
James Stewarts and Sarah Roberts, who met on the show when Sarah joined the cast as Willow in 2017, are also beloved by fans.
In fact, Sarah admitted that their romantic scenes together felt completely natural.
“There’s real chemistry, so it’s easy – I don’t even have to act!” she explained.
The couple married twice in 2019: one in a simple ceremony in Sydney’s Coogee for the legal signing of the documents, and then in a lavish ceremony at an Irish castle.
