There are Home Farm homicide fears in Emmerdale next week, with Kim Tate (Claire King) hiding a grisly secret about missing enemy Rose (Christine Tremarco), while elsewhere, two villagers attend a funeral – and get a shock.

With Rose having seemingly disappeared off the face of the Earth, but Kim and her husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) are behaving very shiftily.

They clearly know more than they are letting on and, when we discover a fresh, worrying development, it seems Kim may have reverted to her old way of doing things.

Meanwhile, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) attends a funeral with Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) but is rocked to the core when she comes face to face with a brother she knew nothing about.

And elsewhere, the fate of a damaged teen is confirmed, with Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) facing the consequences of his crimes.

Monday August 5

Will and Kim try to play nice but continue to snap at each other over Rose’s mysterious disappearance. When Dawn enters, they paint on smiles to hide their guilt.

Will’s at a loss for how to reply to Dawn when she suggests using Kim’s resources to hire a private investigator to find Rose.

Later that morning, Will raises the private investigator quandary with Kim and she tries to come up with a plan.

When Kim sees Caleb she relishes revealing what his wife’s been up to.  Meanwhile, at home, Ruby worries how Caleb will react when he finds out what she has done.

Before long, Kim proposes she and Will send a message from Rose’s phone to result in Dawn calling off the search, however Will is more preoccupied with how Kim might have got Rose’s phone in the first place.

Meanwhile, Ruby’s bafflement grows as a wordless Caleb takes her to a mysterious depot and gets out. Dawn’s broken to receive a message from Rose saying she’s not coming back.

Moira can’t hide her contempt for Samson. Samson finally finds the bravery to stand up to Josh but Sam and Lydia are horrified when Samson gets arrested for assault on Josh. Moira watches on, seemingly satisfied. Cain wonders if Moira was involved.

Brenda’s shocked to hear Pollard orchestrated Vic’s firing from The Hide and orders him to make amends immediately.

Later, Pollard offers Victoria a job in the shop she gratefully accepts. Brenda’s horrified Pollard gave her a job without coming clean about his involvement in her firing.

Tuesday August 6

Cain struggles to believe Moira wasn’t the one who grassed Samson up. In the Woolpack,  Amelia’s anxious for news of Samson’s plea hearing as she worries about the repercussions for Esther of having her biological dad locked up. The Woolpack is silenced when Lydia enters with news.

After pressure from Brenda and overwhelmed by guilt, Pollard finds himself admitting that he made Jai sack her from the Hide and faces the full force of Victoria’s ire for masterminding her sacking and leaving her penniless.

He tries to explain his recent decision-making, but Victoria’s too hurt to let it excuse his actions.

As Victoria tries to talk, Aaron’s too preoccupied with someone on his phone to listen properly. When Aaron tells her how she can use the circumstances of her sacking to her advantage, Victoria’s left thoughtful.

Kim’s reluctant to talk about the situation with Will but there are still trust issues between them. Jimmy almost hears about the kiss from Will but finally Kim opens up to Lydia about her crumbling marriage.

Amelia accidentally uncovers it was Noah who grassed up Samson, furious he has deprived her daughter of her birth dad. She orders him to leave immediately.

Wednesday August 7

Noah scrambles to rescue his relationship, offering to come clean if Amelia won’t finish with him.

Mandy’s impending honeymoon means her financial worries are acute. She secretly tries to apply a £20 surcharge to the cost of Tracy’s nail appointment.

Tracy is surprised so eventually Mandy admits she is in serious debt but can’t come clean to Paddy.

Will’s close to confessing the truth to Kim.  Kim tells him she’s off to Dubai on a business trip this afternoon, and he’s hurt to know she’d rather be anywhere than here with him.

Thursday August 8

Pollard’s frustrated his car won’t be ready and Victoria saves the day by volunteering to give him a lift to the funeral.

Once they arrive at the church, Victoria puts her foot in it with a bereaved son at his mum’s funeral. But she stunned when the bereaved son announces his name is John Sugden.

Pollard awkwardly confirms John could well be her father’s son. When Mack receives a call from a nearby breakdown he heads off to sort. When Pollard and Victoria show up, she’s made up to see John again.

Rodney’s happy to be driving for the haulage firm but Jimmy hopes he doesn’t regret his decision.

Later, Jimmy hears Rodney’s arrived but the delivery was missing items and is quick to blame his father-in-law. But is someone else involved?

Mandy  is determined to resolve her debts without involving Paddy. Later, a chat with Gail leaves Mandy intrigued maybe becoming a financial dominatrix could be the answer.

Friday  August 9

Stranded in the village, John is ruffling feathers.

Mandy sets up her online profile despite Tracy’s discouragement – Madame Diamante Dales is born.

Jimmy’s left unsettled when an inspector arrives to do a spot check on the Haulage vehicles and he’s handed a hefty fine.
