Lauren Bolton of Coronation Street made a stunning comeback, but one moment featuring the disturbed young actress left many uneasy.

Fans of Coronation Street were not overly thrilled with a certain scene that included Lauren Bolton. After going missing for months and being thought to be dead, troubled youngster Lauren (Cait Fitton) made her comeback this week. As fans will remember, she lost her job at Roy’s Rolls and disappeared from the well-known cobbles.

But viewers didn’t learn that the teen’s abduction was the result of sleazy solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) until last month. Furthermore, it was disclosed this week that Lauren has been hiding and is in fact alive.

She tried to leave the hospital as soon as she arrived at Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) bedside after he had suffered a heart attack earlier in the day.

Joel, her assailant, however, grabbed her and shoved her into a family room. Throughout the episode, viewers were shown the real story behind Lauren’s disappearance and her connection with Joel through a series of flashbacks.

After Lauren needed help paying her bills, the shady solicitor wormed his way into her life and forced her into a sexual connection.

Additionally, viewers learned the specifics of what transpired on the day she vanished. Lauren was spotted in her kitchen, cooking a bacon sandwich and listening to the radio, before Joel arrived at her apartment.

Nevertheless, viewers pointed out that Lauren put an excessive amount of tomato ketchup on her bacon butty, which made fans cringe.

One individual was furious on X, the former name for Twitter, saying, “The most horrific point so far tonight, that amount of sauce on that bacon.”

“Want a sandwich with that ketchup? It looks like Joel would have killed her if he hadn’t tried,” another person said.

“By far the most controversial moment on Corrie; I’ve never seen anyone put that much ketchup on a bacon butty,” exclaimed a third.

Another user wrote: “Omfg hahaha I was watching it too like why that much ketchup crazy” on a Reddit thread.

“Yeah, the amount of red sauce she used was just nasty,” commented another commenter. (sic)
