Viewers of Coronation Street are worried about Alina Pop’s welfare and that of her baby son Dorin after she just returned to Weatherfield. Ruxandra Porojnicu’s character Alina returned to the cobbles following an accidental meeting in a parking lot with her erstwhile romantic rival Fiz, played by Jennie Mcalpine.
It soon became apparent that her husband Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, could potentially be the father of Alina’s child. Audiences will recall that Tyrone and Alina were previously in a relationship before Alina departed, insisting she wasn’t expecting a baby.
However, in her final scene, viewers saw her at an airport departure lounge, tenderly holding her growing belly. Fast forward three years, and Tyrone is keen to be a devoted father to their son, but Alina has plans to return to Romania. She only came back to provide evidence in court as a human trafficking group leader faces trial.
As the case continues, Alina is anticipated to give a statement reflecting on her experiences as a victim of modern slavery. However, in a concerning development, she has begun receiving threatening phone calls, suggesting that the traffickers may be trying to intimidate her ahead of the next court date, reports.
But is she in danger? Some fans of the ITV soap believe something fatal could happen to Alina, leaving Dorin in the care of Tyrone and Fiz, resulting in a permanent move to Weatherfield.
