Coronation Street’s Joel is said to be exiting the cobbles soon – and viewers think they’ve “rumbled” how he is leaving.

Coronation Street fans have “worked out” how Joel Deering is leaving the soap – but they are not happy with what the outcome might be.

Despite rocking up to the cobbles as a nice guy last year, sicko solicitor Joel (Calum Lill) has shown his true colours in recent months. It comes as he was revealed to be behind the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

Joel wormed his way into Lauren’s life after helping her out with bills, eventually coercing her into a sexual relationship. He then left he for dead after bashing her head in, following a heated argument where Lauren mentioned fiancee Dee-Dee’s name.

As well as that, he fathered her newborn baby and recently tried to kill her, drugging her in a desperate attempt to kill the baby. However, his sickening plan didn’t work as she went into labour early and the baby survived.

And now Joel’s days of terrorising Lauren seem to be numbered as it’s said Calum has left the soap and his character’s “comeuppance” is coming.

A source told The Sun: “Calum has made a huge impact as Joel over the last year but he always knew it would be for a fixed term. He’s been great playing Joel but all good soap villains must get their comeuppance and Joel’s is coming very soon.

“He’s already landed his first job after the show and so he’ll be finished in time to start rehearsals for that. But on-screen Joel has no idea what’s coming for him as his dark secrets start to be exposed.”

And now, with Joel’s downfall looming, viewers are certain they know how it’s all going to end for him – but they are not impressed, dubbing the outcome as “predictable.”

Over on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: “We all know Dee Dee is going to find out and he is going to go to jail.

“Really nothing to look forward to as such. I wish writers would realise when it’s time to expose a storyline rather than dragging it out for so long,” they added. (sic)

Someone else replied: “Yep, it’s going to be very predictable,” as a third penned: “Going on and on .it’s going to be the Xmas explosive can’t bare the wait, doing my head in now it’s boring.” (sic)
