Despite being assumed dead, Lauren Bolton of Coronation Street made an incredible comeback this week, but fans have noticed a serious problem.
Fans of Coronation Street noticed a significant problem when Lauren Bolton made her historic comeback. It will be remembered by viewers that Lauren (Cait Fitton) vanished from the well-known cobbles following her termination from Roy’s Rolls. When they couldn’t find her, the blonde bombshell scared her friends and family.
Police were shortly called to her apartment, where they discovered a bloodied weapon on the floor and signs of a struggle. Viewers were certain that the teen was killed using this murder weapon up to this point.
They quickly identified Roy Cropper (David Nielson), her former supervisor, as their top suspect. He was accused of killing her and placed under remand in jail pending his trial. Before killing her in a fit of rage, DC Swain (Vicky Myers) came to believe that the fan favorite had paid her for sex.
Fortunately for Roy, bent copper Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) put up sex trafficker Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper), who was eventually found guilty of killing her.
Viewers were unaware that the teen’s abduction was the result of shady solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) until last month.
Additionally, it was disclosed that Lauren has been hiding and is in fact alive during Monday’s show (July 7). After Roy suffered a heart attack earlier in the day, the child appeared at his hospital bedside.
Fans, however, are furious over Lauren’s comeback. Many people were perplexed as to why Lauren hadn’t returned after Roy was taken into custody.
One individual commented on X, the former name for Twitter: “So Lauren’s been hiding for months and is only coming out because Roy is in the hospital? How the f**k did she stay in prison when he was?
Someone else added: “Roy is so important to her, but not important enough to get him out of Prison.”
A third penned: “I groaned when Lauren showed up at the hospital! Why now? It’s a stupid storyline that’s dragged on for ages.”
Another chimed in and wrote: “Omg please end this storyline, it makes no sense. So Lauren turns up alive which we all knew wasn’t dead, but why didn’t she show up to clear Roy when he was in prison?”
